CalmWear calming sensory compression singlets are our best seller and are manufactured extra-long to provide sensory input to all of the torso.
CalmWear singlets can be worn as clothing or undergarments and help children regulate their body and filter sensory information, which enables them to listen, focus and learn while staying calm, and become more self aware.
CalmWear is designed to wear all day, every day to keep the sensory system calm. Reassuring, gentle pressure provides proprioceptive feedback (information received from muscles and tendons, concerning body movement and position).
CalmWear undergarments allow children to wear their favourite clothing (or school uniform) while enjoying the calming benefits and minimizing meltdowns. All CalmWear undergarments have special external stitching for a seamless feel, and stamped labelling for children with tactile sensitivity. View CalmWear sizing chart by clicking the Sizing tab above.
CalmWear is manufactured from a high quality, breathable, moisture-wicking, special sensory fabric which is durable and keeps the wearer cool, dry and comfortable all year round.
If your measurement is between two sizes, you are best choosing the smaller size.
If you change your mind about your CalmWear purchase, you can return the products in their original condition (including tags, packaging and receipt of purchase) for a full refund (excl. delivery), within 28 days of receipt.
We are proud of our quality and the effective solution CalmWear can provide to adults and children living with sensory needs. We are sure you will be happy when you purchase from us.
We have already allowed for the correct amount of gentle sensory compression, so please use the exact chest measurement when deciding on size.
If your measurement is between two sizes, you are best choosing the smaller size. CalmWear needs to provide gentle sensory compression to the muscles, to work effectively.
Date: January 6, 2018Written by: Jerilyn Jackson, Mom to Kaylee, 4 years oldFrom: River East, Manitoba, Canada
My daughter Kaylee is four years old and has Autism. Since Kaylee has been wearing CalmWear, she has been able to self-regulate better, makes stronger connections with people now - verbal responses and eye contact - and is able to sit and do a task for longer periods of time than ever before.
I didn’t tell Kaylee’s teacher that she was wearing CalmWear, because I wanted to see what differences would be noticed without looking for the changes. They made notes at her school that Kaylee's "volume" (yelling and disruption) had noticeably reduced in length and velocity!!
She was self-soothing, without the teacher’s help, and she was able to sit up and do tasks for longer periods.
They didn’t know why, but I did….CalmWear!
We, as a family, noticed the biggest difference when we had to take the singlet off to wash it. Kaylee was very moody and became very loud and easily upset with us. Every time we changed her shirt and she could see her tummy and chest she would ask for “second one” which is what she calls her CalmWear.
If your child needs compression or deep pressure therapy, I highly recommend CalmWear!
